Come and find family fun for all ages. Come early so you can engage in activities and see the exhibits before the airshow begins.

There are plenty of activities for children:

Kids Activities - 3D Aircraft Teeter Totter
Visit the Kid’s Zone, and participate in all the activities. Ride the 5 passenger Aircraft Teeter Totter with your family and friends.
Kids Activities - Tight Rope

Try the Tight Rope Bridge … Can you make it all the way accross?


There may be opportunities to climb into a real airplane! Be sure to ask permission before touching or climbing into aircraft.
Kids Activities - Crafts

There are hands on workshops to learn how to be handy. Crafts that will help develop skills and create life long interests.


Learn about our heritage though the many WWII and other military exhibits. Some exhibits are hands on … you may actually have a chance to sit in the drivers seat

of a vintage Jeep. Find the Jeeps in the WWII Re-enactors Encampment.


Try an airplane that is just your size! There is a variety of “pint” sized aircraft providing great play time for the children and a great photo opportunity for parents. Come early so you have time to see and participate in all the Wings Over Waukesha 2014 has to offer.

Scuba Diving Lessons
The Boy Scouts are returning this year to provide Scuba Diving Lessons, with a new larger pool!
Youth Activities - Static Aircraft

There may be opportunities to set in the pilot seat in the Static Aircraft Display area! Be sure to ask permission before touching or climbing into aircraft.

Try your hand at Axe Throwing at the Scottish Exhibit! This is located North of the Helicopter Ride area.
Kids Activities - Plumbing Techniques

There are hands on workshops to learn how to be handy. Aircraft design requires vast knowledge of science, engineering, and physics. Aircraft manufacture and maintenance requires a skilled work force.

Activities - Plane Talk -P51
Learn about historical aircraft, their pilots and owners at the many “Plane Talks” offered both days. Check the program and look for posters at the event for details.
Activities - Become a pilot forum

There are forums offered on a range of subjects, including “How to become a Pilot”, Aviation Experiences, and “Women in Aviation”. Check the program and look for posters at the event for details.
Activities - Learning about Radio Controlled Aircraft

Visit the Radio Control Aircraft exhibit and see a variety of awesome RC aircraft. Club members are more than happy to demonstrate the models and answer questions. They will explain how the RC pilot controls the aircraft and also explain about basic aerodynamics that make airplanes fly.
Activities - Antique Automobiles

Take a set back in time a visit the Antique Automobile displays, thanks to the “Tin Lizzies”.

2013 Pancake Breakfast

Pancake Breakfasts are a tradition at Aviation events and fly-ins and Wings Over Waukesha is no exception. Come early so you have a great breakfast! Look for pancakes at “the Dock”.
